Associate Professor at the “Enzo Ferrari” Engineering Department of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy. He received the Dr. Eng. degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 2008 and in 2012, respectively.Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Engineering at the University of Padova, Italy.

From 2013 to 2018, he held a post-doctoral position at the Institute of Electronics and Computer and Telecommunications (IEIIT) of the National Research Council of Italy (CNR).

His main fields of interest are performance analysis and measurements on network systems, with particular focus on industrial real-time wired and wireless communications and on cyber-physical systems. His interdisciplinary research profile includes expertise in real-time embedded systems, real-time ethernet solutions, Time Sensitive Networks (TSN) and Internet of Things.

He is member of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Technical Committee on Factory Automation committee and of Instrumentation and Measurement Society TC-37. He currently serves in the Editorial Board of several renowned international journals, and also serves in the Program Committee and organization board of several international conferences. He is co-author of more than 60 peer reviewed papers in International conferences and Journals. Prof. Tramarin is a member of the IEEE (and IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society) and of the Italian Group of Electrical and Electronic Measurements (GMEE).
